Thor: Hammer Splash & Mesa Peak Closure
Thor: Hammer Splash & Mesa Peak Closure
On September 14, 2023 it was officially confirmed that the western themed area of Mesa Peak will be closing as well as the wooden race themed rollercoaster - Charge. After months of subtle hints from the park including shops selling fire and even brickwork saying the date "12/11/23" (the date we now know it to be closing).
The closure was announced with a statement that the park released saying:
The town and races will be NO MORE. The Sheriff says. Effective 12/11/23.
Along with the date being "September 1885", the month that the announcement was created along with the year that the area is set in.
Along with the Mesa Peak closure, in 2023, Thor: Hammer Splash will be making one last splash again on 12/11/23. Thor: Hammer Splash was one of the parks original rides and is a log flume in the middle of the Land of the Viking (an area with two other water rides and our rollercoaster ODIN).
The statement released about the rides closure released on September 28, 2023 said:
The Gods have spoken. Thor will close. 12/11/23
The poster also used the shield created during the ODIN marketing, a water splash & and the white Enchel Park logo with a space background because this year we took you to new heights!
Will we be seeing you this November?
The final day of the 2023 season will be 12/11/23, one week after our spooktacular event Horrid Halloween comes to an end. But, will we be seeing you to say farewell to the town of Mesa Peak and Thor: Hammer Splash this November 12?
